Styles of Liturgy

We value the range of styles of worship which are found in the Anglican tradition.

At St. Paul's we celebrate a sung Eucharist, usually in contemporary language, but on the second Sunday of the month we use the Book of Common Prayer. We sing hymns in a variety of styles, usually accompanied by the organ.

At St. Mary's we celebrate a spoken Eucharist usually in contemporary language, but on the second Sunday of the month we use the Book of Common Prayer. We sing a range of very familiar hymns, unaccompanied.

At Holy Trinity, we offer BCP Morning Prayer and BCP Evening Prayer once a month each, and celebrate a spoken Eucharist in contemporary language the remaining Sundays. We sing a range of traditional hymns, generally unaccompanied.

Please pick up a schedule at St. Mary's or Holy Trinity so that you can easily remember when we gather next for worship!

And Messy Church is worship in a very different way! Come and see!

Who can come to Three Harbours?

Anyone! You don't have to be an Anglican, or even a Christian, to attend our services. Visitors are always welcome, and baptized members of any Christian denomination are free to receive Holy Communion.

What if I've never been in a church before?

In the words of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Don't Panic. The Parish is a non-threatening environment. You won't be bullied into becoming a Christian on the spot. There are no membership fees, you don't have to fill in any forms (unless you want to be on the Parish Roll), and we don't even have a dress code. (Only Bishops wear hats in church nowadays.)
